1. Description of Service

SyllabusSync is a free tool that uses AI to extract assignment and exam deadlines from a course syllabus image and create corresponding events in your Google Calendar. The service requires a Google account and grants us temporary access to your calendar solely to create these events.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SyllabusSync. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to grant us access to your Google account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API endpoints
• Upload content that is malicious, harmful, or violates third-party rights
• Use the app in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure

4. Google Account Access

By signing in, you authorize SyllabusSync to create Google Calendar events on your behalf using the calendar.events scope. We do not read, modify, or delete existing calendar events. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

SyllabusSync is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. AI-extracted dates may be incorrect or incomplete — always verify deadlines against your official course materials. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SyllabusSync and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including missed deadlines, data loss, or calendar errors caused by AI inaccuracies.

7. Intellectual Property

All code, design, and branding of SyllabusSync are owned by its operators. You retain ownership of any syllabus images you upload. By uploading, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process the image solely to provide the service.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app at any time, without notice, for any reason including violation of these terms. Since the app has no accounts or stored data, termination has no effect beyond preventing future use.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
